Export Controls Australia Group

The Export Controls Australia Group (ECAG) is a special interest industry group, established in 2024, with a primary focus on export and trade control matters. ECAG is the sole not-for-profit dedicated national body in Australia that deals exclusively with export control issues.

We meet with industry experts—both locally and internationally—and work with government to facilitate meaningful connections and consultations. This results in informed, reliable, and unbiased information sharing, as well as collaboration on future-focused solutions.

Our work includes:

  • Organising webinars and discussions on key export control topics

  • Sharing critical information with industry and government stakeholders

  • Facilitating collaboration between businesses, policymakers, and experts

  • Connecting practitioners with the right resources and networks to navigate regulations

Our goal is to support the advancement of export controls practitioners and stakeholders, ensuring they are equipped to manage evolving challenges in this space.

We adapt to industry needs, we are focused on a long-term approach—building credibility, fostering collaboration, and shaping the future of export controls in Australia.
